CARE Nepal hereby invites applications, for the below mentioned positions, from interested Nepalese candidates.

1. Research Specialist (2 nos based in Gorkha*)-Short Term

Key responsibilities: This Research Specialist will be responsible for planning, analyzing, reporting and conducting field research to investigate how disasters affect various populations differentially, and in particular, what measures can be undertaken to ensure social inclusion, including gender inclusion so as to enhance disaster justice in preparedness and recovery work. S/he will play a supportive role in the research project between CARE Nepal and the University of New South Wales, Australia on the issues of Disaster Justice in Gorkha district.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences or related disciplines with experience in Gender and Disaster context. At least 5 years of experience in research and data collection (qualitative and quantitative).


2. Trainee-Internal Audit (based in Kathmandu*)-Reserved for candidates from marginalized communities

Key responsibilities: The Trainee will support the Internal Audit team to conduct audit for management to access adequacy and effectiveness of control, accuracy of financial records, efficiency of operations and the extent to which assets are safeguarded.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least Bachelor degree in Accounting, Financial Management or those who are undergoing the professional accounting courses like CA and ACCA is preferred. Freshers can apply.
